Alan asked:
Someone has asked about a product to convert files to pdf format. I know
about the TXT2PDF utility but my management is skittish about freeware
that makes it into production so I'm looking for alternatives. Is there
anyone charging and, more importantly, supporting a product that does the
same thing?

Take a look at JES2MAIL from http://www.casisoft.com/jeshome.html if you
want a vendor supported solution. I don't know much about it but do know
that it includes support for creating pdf files.
There is also SMTP-Send from http://www.tbssoft.com/smtp-send which can do
the same.
Having said that - the TXT2PDF tool is rock solid and open-source.
Providing the definitions of the PDF file format do not change it should
work for years and years without problem. True it is free and not
supported and you have to make that business decision.
Good luck
