Since BPAM now supports read access to HFS directories (barring

What about write access?

What about WRITE access? A UNIX file has three sets of three accesses:

READ FOR OWNER
WRITE FOR OWNER
EXECUTE FOR OWNER

READ FOR GROUP
WRITE FOR GROUP
EXECUTE FOR GROUP

READ FOR OTHER
WRITE FOR OTHER
EXECUTE FOR OTHER

With ACLs, you can even do more security.
