Re: PSF / AFP: IPO Orientation / Rotation ignored

Hi,
My problem is solved :-) I'll describe my findings here for anybody who
might encounter similar problems:
It is a question of the printer supporting the "Page Overlay Rotation".
On our 4100 and 2710 production-printers, the overlay is printed with
the correct offsets and rotation. On a Lexmark T632, which reports to
PSF as a DEV=4060, the rotation is (without any errors or exceptions)
not observed.
So PSF does actually support the rotation in a IPO.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
Since i cannot find a list for AFP-/PSF-topics, i post this here,
although i am aware of this not being the correct group. But maybe
somebody here is experienced with AFP-printing and PSF, so i'll give it
a shot:
I have a AFP-page with a MPO for a page-overlay (O1BOXSMP) and a later
IPO for this overlay. The IPO specifies X-/Y-Offsets (XolOset/YolOset)
and a rotation (OvlyOrent).
As the overlay is printed on the page, the offset-values of the IPO
(XolOset/YolOset) are observed, however, the rotation specified in the
IPO (OvlyOrent) is ignored. No matter what i specifiy in OvlyOrent, the
overlay is always printed in a 0° orientation.
Here is a hex-dump of the IPO structured field (must be looked at with
uniformely spaced font):

I am running PSF V3R4 for z/OS. I suspect this having to do with
Interchange Sets (IS/1, IS/2). According to MO:DCA Reference, "MO:DCA-P
IS/1 and IS/2 interchange sets only support 0± rotation of a page
overlay".
Does anybody have experience with rotating page-overlays? Can anybody
tell me how to find out what interchange-set is supported by a certain
PSF?
Any help is appreciated.
