Gimbels used to have several stores in Milwaukee. I don't know if they
had a mainframe here in Milwaukee or not. Five or ten years ago, they
all became Boston Stores, which now is owned by Saks 5th Avenue. They
are in the process of being bought out by I think Bonton. I know Saks
used to have their datacenter at their downtown Boston Store in
Milwaukee, but a few years ago they closed it and merged it into their
Jackson Miss. datacenter.

Since I mentioned Gimbels, It had four separate divisions
(Phila,NY,Pittsburg,Milwaulkee(sp?) plus Saks Fifth Ave all with
mainframe sites. Only
Saks(I think) remains under different ownership(at least twice)
since then and I am not
sure if they are still separate. There has been a lot of
consolidation, mergers, closings
in the retail landscape over the last 2+ decades
