Its a sad state of affairs that you have to depend on the poor
installation "procedure" to sustain your job. Job security shouldn't
be dependent on poor packaging, IMO.

I guess that I didn't say that very well. The reason that I got to keep
my job was the fact that CA allowed us to cost effectively upgrade the
mainframe. There was a very large push to get off of the z/OS system and
onto Windows due to the cost of upgrading. CA helped us to destroy the
"Windows is better, faster, CHEAPER" people by being at least reasonable
about the upgrade fees. Of course, now all but one of those pusher
people are no longer here. Curious, that. The new CIO is totally
unimpressed with "cheerleaders" and "pundants" who don't have hard
figures to back up their propoganda. Too many questions of the Windows
people got a response from them like: "There are technologies to address
that issue." with no hard facts like which technologies and how much
they cost.
