It is now obvious that Archimedes' Lever is for too concerned about
not being able to answer the puzzle to accept the test of trying to
solve it. I'd like to give it a go, either privately via email or
here in the open. I usually don't get these riddles the first time
and am amazed that the solution, when revealed, is usually tricky, but
simple. I do enjoy the challenge however, and would like to go for
it. Please post instructions here.
Sorry Orville, but I will not take the chance. Archie may be able to
solve it, but if I let a copy get out before he does, his solution
will always be suspect. I think that even he would agree that it's
best if he solves it without there ever being any question that he did
it without help. I do think that he'll eventually recognize the
opportunity as not being threatening and that it will give him a
chance to silence most of his detractors here. I'll certainly give
him credit for trying as strongly and as quickly as I am willing to
condemn his bull*** other actions.
On the other hand, if he tries to solve the puzzle, it will be
presented here for you to work on at the same time. Just don't
publish the answer of you get it.
