Re: non-linear horizontal distortion in anamorphic DVD

A correction to my initial message: the strong distortion of 40% is
observed only when the display is set to Anamprphic mode. In the
Full-screen mode, the widening at the margins is near 10%, i.e. the
same as in the 4:3 mode. This leads us to conclude that this
non-linearity is inherent in the anamorphic remastering of the movie.
