My P4-3.4HT, 512 meg single-channel DDR2 (so far) with an Nvidia
FX6600GT runs Doom3 with all the options at 1280 X 960 just fine, as
it does NFS Underground, a game that gives the video card even more of
a workout.
A multimedia computer should always have at least two drives, to
prevent skipped frames due to access to the program drive during
capture, Ideally have a fast 60 to 200 gig for the boot, maybe a
Raptor, and a 250 to 400 gig for data.
