Hey all again
I finally booked my airfare on Allegiant yesterday. I did attempt to
book at the airport in order save on the connivence fee, but had a few
hiccups. Their computers were down, so the lady running the ticket
counter called the main offices in Las Vegas to get them to wave the
over-the-phone booking fee.
In any event I am know ready to book my hotel. I have looked at all
booking options (Priceline, Hotwire, Hotels.com, hotel website, and
so) and most likely will book through Delta using my Skymiles to pay
for part of the room. Below are results of the two hotels I am looking
at, as the don't charge a resort fee and of course the price is right.
Results for 1 room for 2 adults on 10/25/10-10/29/10 including all
taxes and fees.
Flamingo - Deluxe Room - $37.94
Harrahs - Classic Room - $57.34
Now I am just looking to see what everyone's thoughts are on the two
hotels. Both are in the middle of action. Both are rated at 3.5 on
Tripadvisor. Reviews though seem to better for Harrahs for some
reason. Mainly just looking for clean room. Really don't need the
extra frills. Kind of also wonder what the view from each room might
be like.

I stayed at the Flamingo once in a standard room and it was fine. It
was clean, and the beds were fairly comfortable. We had a view of the
pool area and neighboring properties to the north. We never had any
noise issues. The only thing that was a downside was that it was a bit
of a walk to get to the parking garage or the strip from the room. I
would stay there again.
