Vegas does better than I thought they would on that list. Vegas drivers are less
likely to be involved in collisions than many other big cities like Houston, LA, SF,
Baltimore, DC, Philly, Dallas, Atlanta, etc. I don't see Boston anywhere on the
complete list; doesn't Allstate sell car insurance in Mass?
They left decades ago when we went to 'no fault'. No fault went away a couple years ago and the insurers that had gone started coming back. Allstate might not have yet.
Denny in Mass
Here in Nevada, we need to get the ticket fixing lawyers out of the business and let a ticket carry all the penalty the law intended. Bargaining down a speeding ticket to something inconsequential doesn't get the license points on the bad driver's licenses. If there would start being an actual penalty, beyond a slap on the wrist for bad drivers, then their insurance would go up. That would compensate the companies for the added risk a bad driver adds to the insurance pool and the good drivers won't be penalized. As it is now, bad drivers just enrich the ticket fixing lawyers.
