re advice for Non Americans on driving: there aren't too many of us in
here, so here's my advice: for me, it's a LOT cheaper to rent the car
from Europe before arriving. driving itself is a pleasure. people here
tend to moan about the bad drivers in Vegas, but they have never
travelled through Italy or Spain. roads are generally a delight (apart
of course from the occasional construction).
But most of all, driving through the Southwest is slating in a hard to
describe way. the wide open spaces, natural wonders and general lack of
traffic outside of metro areas are a wonderful experience - as I've not
only witnessed myself, but heard from many fellow Europeans.
by all means, rent a car and take a trip out of town. and drive around
Vegas for a day, too: even though driving isn't as much of a pleasure
there, the things you'll be able to reach make up for it.
Thomas
I too don't see it as that bad.
