One of the many tremendous ironies in this are the recent mobs of angry
senior citizens shouting down Democrat congresspeople at town hall meetings
for supporting "socialized medicine".

Get the gummint out of health care!, they shout. I don't want the gummint
running my health care!, they scream.

Then when they get sick they happily trot down to the doctor and proudly
show their Medicare cards; either that or they visit the local VA clinic or
hospital.

Apparently they just don't want that doggone gummint involved in anyone
else's health care, like regular working people. Because despite their
screaming, they seem pretty happy with their own. I have yet to see a
single demonstration demanding the end of Medicare and the VA.

That leads me to believe that all of this hysterical fear over the current
legislation is just that: hysterical fear ginned up by the special interests
with the most to lose. And there's always a mob of Palinites, neanderthals,
and just plain stupid old poops who are too dumb to see that they're being
used. Hence the bizarre phenomenon of people ON government run health care
demanding that NO ONE BUT THEM be able to receive it.

Ah, America and its wonderful politics. Bah.
