Okay, someone help me out here. I'm a registered user of the
eternal-september.org, and am online. Now how do I find
alt.vacation.las-vegas? I am using Outlook Express.

Tom

You're going to have to change the name of the newserver. Not sure how Microsoft Mail is configured, but it's almost the same OE I think.

Click on Tools->Accounts

Click on the "News" Tab

Highlight news.motzarella.org and click "Properties"

Click on the "Server" Tab

Under the News Account field, it wants you to type the name of the server (which right now is motzarella); highlight that field and type:

news.eternal-september.org

Click Ok
Click Close

That is exactly what Ray asked people to not do. The email, and the follow-up instructions were very clear... set up a brand new account, don't change the existing one over. The good part about that is that one can look back and forth between the two if they have a problem. Yesterday so many people were making the change during the middle of the day that it apparently got a bit crazy... people have until 7/1 to get it done. There were all sorts of questions on motzarella.support and it looks like there still are today.

I changed my existing one. Works fine...
