What is the first web site you go to each day? Not your email but Like
avlv, newspaper, etc.

My home page has been Yahoo since 1995. I don't know why just feels
right.

First Site I visit each day is (and I'm sure this will surprise
everyone)

DRUDGEREPORT

No, I'm not surprised you first check a gossip site featuring rehashed
old
tidbits from other sites run by a closeted gay man who hasn't been seen
in
public for two years.

Me:
CNBC
TDAmeritrade account
GoogleNews
Washington Post
Politico

O

Gossip site? Not hardly. Drudge even posts trash from liberal sites like
the NYT. Hopefully, things will fall thur and in short order, the NYT and
Boston Globe will shutdown and we won't hear about them again. 2 liberals
rags bite the dirt. Good riddence.

In case you haven't heard, the Drudge gossip site hasn't done any new
reporting for over two years while its owner has been in seclusion. He's a
barely closeted gay man who has basically given up the site for dead while
he determines what to do next with his life. He doesn't "post" anything; he
has two employees who merely aggregate mainly made-up stories from various
wingnut blogs and some mainstream news sources and post them as if they were
new (and true), of which most are neither.

And without the NYT, as you yourself point out, his volume of material would
be reduced, especially since he's been on a two year reporting hiatus
himself.

Its bad enough that people check an opinion/gossip site before they check a
news site, but its really funny that they check what they think is a "news"
site when there literally hasn't been any "news" on it in over two years
(and they never even noticed that Matt Drudge no longer has anything to do
with the site besides being its name).

Classic, and it explains a lot.
