I know when I want informed political discussion that avoids straw
men, ad hominem, ad personam and tired old cliches... I sure wouldn't
be looking in a newsgroup that's about how we like to vacation in Las
Vegas.

That someone would find a post that exemplifies all of that in that
newsgroup to be the post of the year... well, that speaks volumes, and
just makes my point for me, that this group has no redeeming value in
terms of political discussion.
