Thursday January 29th...everyone slept late this morning so we skipped
breakfast and ended up having lunch at the Orleans buffet. A little
gambling at Orleans and we dropped my daughter and Steve off at Mandalay
bay for the shark exhibit. While they were looking at sharks, my wife and
I went to Excalibur for gambling. Couldn't win a dime and we both got
depressed rather fast. Sat down and played some keno until time to pickup
my daughter and Steve. A visit to the house and then a trip to IN-N-Out
burger at Serene and Eastern avenue. Got a bag of burgers and brought them
back to the house, where we ate the burgers and also finished off the
leftover from Buca Di Bepo. We ate until we could hardly walk and still
had some food left over. We all left the house and went over to south
point for some drinks and gambling. South Point is close to the house and
very convenient place to just spend some time having fun.
My daughter and Steve went back down to the strip and dropped my wife and
I off at the house around 11:00PM. Off to bed for us, since Friday was get
away day for our trip.

Friday January 30th..Everyone was up early for the terrible breakfast at
terribles, since my daughter and Steve were flying home at 11:20AM. We ate
the breakfast buffet and dropped them at Alaska Airlines around 9:30AM. No
need to rush, since they boarded the plane and sat at the gate for another
hour. Fog had seatac shut down and planes were either doing a ground hold
or landing at alternate airports. They finally left Vegas an hour late but
arrived safely at seatac around 3:00PM local time.
My wife and I went back to the house, where we cleaned up and put
everything in its proper place. Locked up the house and departed as
required by 12 noon. We then headed downtown. I don't know why. There is
nothing there worth seeing or doing, but we killed some time in the Golden
Nugget. I looked over the bar area and thought I might introduce myself to
Willie WJT, but 2 bartenders were working the bar and they were both
white.Sometimes racial profiling has it's advantages. Later I realized,
maybe there was a second bar someplace but by then, we were back in the
car headed up Casino center Blvd.
Off to the Orleans for some keno action, since the wife hit the place for
$800 on keno 2 years ago. No such luck, but I got in some more 3 card
poker before we left for Ellis island and their steak special. We both had
the special, which was good as usual but the BJ tables were too busy for
me to play my match coupons. Rather than wait, we headed off for the
silverton, where I gassed up the rental car across from the silverton and
we ended up in their keno lounge. Luck answered my pleas, as I hit for
$160 on keno, which gave me a profit of about $100 for the trip. We have a
habit of leaving Vegas on a redeye late at night and we end our trip
playing keno at the silverton. We left the silverton and turned in the car
at dollar, which again, was empty of customers. My wife and I were the
only people on the shuttle bus back to the airport. After sleeping on 2
perfect flight back to BDL, we arrived at 9:30AM January 31st.
One of my more relaxing trips to las Vegas for sure.

Nice TR. Did you rent the condo/house or was that a time share? I have
a bunch of friends that wanna go to Vegas and that seems like the way
to go if you have a bunch of people.
