I'm thinking I might go online and buy myself some preaching credentials
and
get in the Salvation bid'ness. Here in Louisiana and East Texas, you can't
swing a dead cat without hitting a dozen churches and I'm sure I can pound
a
pulpit hard enough that some cash will start flowing in.

Hey, Reverend George,

I was ordained by the Universal Life Church in 1968 because it came in
handy at work. The requirements were pretty stringent, $10 in
response to an add in the back of the old, now defunct, LA Free
Press. I legally married a couple in Las Vegas about 35 years ago
in a banquette room at the Hacienda. The wedding party dubbed it,
"The Little Chapel of Four The Hard Way." Well now, that takes care
of being on topic.

These days you can get ordained on line for free. They also have a
line of college degrees in religion and religion related areas. Since
there is no accreditation body for religious degrees, your DD for $100
(and pass an open book test) would be authentic as a DD from the
Harvard Divinity School, although it may not be as prestigious or open
any doors for you.

The ULC appears to be home based in Modesto, Ca, the area that seems
to have the weirdest murders every year, e.g. Scott Peterson, now on
death row after being convicted of murdering his pregnant wife Laci,
and let's not forget all the infamous pitchfork murders. Modesto is
also rated as one of the worst cities in the USA to live in. I'm sure
there is no connection, or is there?

You could close your sermon with, "Friends, I have never asked for a
penny for myself so you should send your money to HIM but put my name
on the check." I don't know if Becca has the "trowel" make up
technique down pat but it seems to be a requirement for an
evangelist's wife.
