Actually Marsha, you would be surprised to learn how many people can't seem
to do it.
My nephew called his "Master" over the weekend for help on a wireless
network that was working beautifully after a long install but the two peers
could not "see" each other even though they were sharing things beautifully.
The Master solved the problem. Not bad for a old DOS man...
As for Cameron, I have both a cassette tape player (Onkyo)and turntable
which still works great. As for recording old records to cd using a PC, I
recommend a shareware called Audacity.
Guess the old DOS man still has his stuff.
Just to be a shit, my predictions were 100%. I said oil would peak before
$150-and it did. I said the market would drop for a mid correction and zoom
back--and it did.
New predictions:
Obama will get a bump in the polls until late September when McCain will
stay with him neck and neck. While the election for President will be a
toss up, Democrats will pad their lead in both houses of Congress and
Republicans suffer a huge loss, especially in Southern States.
Oil futures will fall considerably causing oil to drop to about $3.50 gal by
late October.
Georgia Bulldogs will win BCS but Braves will be out of the NL race by
September 10. (Sorry Ron.)
Brett Farve may be a Tampa Bay Buccaneer-but will NEVER be a Minnesota
Viking nor Chicago Bear...
Manny Fernandez will be a Dodger or Chicago White Sox next year--but not a
Yankee. Barry Bonds will NEVER play baseball again.
Angels versus Cubs may finally happen in World Series, but look for Angels
to win.

FedEx came this afternoon with a little box from Cox. I can't believe
people actually pay to someone come out to hook this stuff up! So... I
have what's supposed to be their slowest service, and I'm amazed at the
difference... FWIW, it's significantly faster than any WiFi I've used with
my laptop.
I guess my next step is to set up a wireless network, but for now, I'm
VERY happy no one's watching the clock on me!
