Our president hates America, pure and simple.

He'd much rather take us deeper and deeper into debt in order to spend
hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars on Arabs than he would spend

dime on the American people.

FWIW, we spent more money on Japan and Germany and the Cold War than
we have spent on Iraq.

I love how you debate. Toss in some wildly irrellevant statement and then
pretend it meant something.

In case you missed the difference (apparently you have) Japan and Germany
declared war on the US and threatened to take over the world. The USSR had
10,000 nukes pointed at American cities and threatened to take over the
world. We fought those conflicts all over the world, and yet wrapped up
WWII in less time than its taken to turn Iraq into a complete disaster, with
literally no end in sight.

Saddam's regime was not a threat whatsoever, except to Iran (who, thanks to
our invasion, is now seeing their influence grow in Iraq). The war was
totally unneccessary, and even if it had been necessary, the war was over
years ago. There is no reason to spend upwards of a trillion dollars
refereeing a Muslim religious civil war during an endless occupation.

We have nearly always been in debt.

Oh? You must have a very short memory. We weren't in debt when Bush
became president and were actually paying down the deficit. Seems so long
ago now.............

The
budget, afaik, has only been balanced ONCE in the entire history of
America.

The day before Bush became president.

Personally, I'd rather be a creditor nation than a debtor nation. But
what are those countries that want to collect do? Invade us? Please.

Please what? The deficit and rampant borrowing has helped the dollar to
crash, which hurts our economy in too many ways to count (gas prices for
starters). China and our other creditors have us over a barrel. They can
stop buying Fed securities anytime they want to, to put pressure on us for
any reason and our government goes bust that day. It can't survive a day
without foreign financing. Surely with your vast knowledge of international
markets and finance you know this.

He's also a cowardly, scared to death little girl, promoting baseless
fear
of imaginary bogeymen and offering a permanent war as the solution.

No permanent war will happen.

Its happening now. You blind or what?

And that's despite his creating thousands of new terrorists by his insane
actions in Iraq.

You mean the terrorists who are concentrating on Iraq instead of
attacking us?

Mainly I mean the Iraqis who never were terrorists before the invasion and
who won't be after we leave. The ones who kill other Iraqis and occupying
US troops.

Tell me, how many terrorists attacks on US soil have
happened since we invaded Iraq?

None, proving my point. Its not that big of a threat. By far most
violence in Iraq is carried out by local Iraqis fighting each other. Even
the Al Qaeda like terrorists Bush created by invading Iraq have no interest
in or ability to attack the US. They're fighting for power in Iraq.

Meanwhile the people who did attack us are taking over Afghanistan again;
mainly because Bush cut and ran to play Arab nation builder in Iraq.
That's a more serious threat; at least it qualifies as SOME level of threat.
And we're barely doing anything about that threat at all. Bush left it up
to the Germans, Dutch, Brits, and Canadians to deal with that one, the
actual threat. Another brilliant decision.

Terrorism pales in comparison to the real threats facing
this country in the global economy: a failed education system that lags
way behind the rest of the civilized world,

The only education system in the US that lags are the public schools
in inner cities.

Nope, wrong again. I encourage you to move beyond your usual knee jerk
simpleton soundbite thinking and look where the US ranks internationally in
math and science education. Behind every other civilized country in the
world. Behind Latvia. Behind Italy. WAY behind Finland, South Korea,
even Portugal. Last time I looked we were 26th. We do even worse in
Geography and Languages. In a GLOBAL economy.................

Why do you think we will have more foreign doctors than American ones in
just a few years? Why the majority of Silicon Valley engineers are foreign?
Because our system pales compared to those of almost every other civilized
country.

stagflation,

???

It doesn't surprise me that you have no knowledge of the most recent
economic problem to have reared its ugly head.

I'm no big fan of government spending,

Neither am I.

but if you're going to spend a
trillion dollars hows about taking SOME of that money away from the Arabs
and spending it on critical needs that actually help Americans???

Why don't we just tell the government to let US spend OUR money the
way WE want to, cut taxes and let free market reign?

Because Bush is spending all his borrowed Chinese money in Iraq. Giving it
all back to the taxpayers would have been far more preferable to me than
flushing it down some primitive Arab toilet hole. As would have been
giving some of it back, spending some of it here, and not borrowing some of
it in the first place. As would have been not borrowing any of it in the
first place, etc.

Bush chose exactly the worst possible option.

The man panicked and we're all paying for it dearly.

No, he didn't...

He's a frightened little girl who panicked, then refused to admit he blew
it. Now he's so disconnected from America that he thinks "our economy is
strong". He might want to read the pages of the Wall Street Journal that
don't praise his foreign policy to get a bit more realistic view.

ANYONE, including
John McCain, will be FAR preferable than the current chimp in chief.

That remains to be seen.

No, that is universal truth on par with evolution.

Hopefully when McCain gets elected he will
do a great job.

Hopefully he'll lose, but if he wins, he will surely be FAR better than
Bush.
