let me know and I won't waste my time trying to be nice to everyone.

John, it's never a waste of time being nice to people.

Your problem is that you feel you have to reply to every antagonistic
post. You don't. In fact, you'll get more respect if you don't
respond to personal attacks. Less really is more when it comes to
posting.

In the end, you're the one who determines what kind of experience you
have in this group. If you want a less-contentious time here, stick to
the topic of Vegas. If you want to express your personal beliefs about
controversial issues, don't be offended when people shoot back at you.

And if this group becomes so upsetting that it affects your physical
and emotional health, follow another poster's advice and take a break
from AVLV to get some perspective on what's really important in your
life.

Nice advice Walt. I've tried sticking to live subjects in the past and the
usual replies I got to my messages were like "moron, a******, stupid, idiot"
etc , so everything I said about LV or every opinion I mentioned about LV
was shot down, even though I had been out there 30+ times.
Guys with 5 or 6 trips under their belts were telling me I didn't know what
I was talking about. Go figure. How can someone who wants to discuss LV
shows, food gambling deal with stupid people like that? BTW..I was posting
nice, obscene free messages and they still acted like jerks. I guess it was
part of their "lets give john a meltdown" program.

Mr. Nice Guy
None of the merry gang of morons would ever agree with me or give me a
decent reply.

John... you and every other regular in AVLV have created their own
particular online persona here over a long period of time. Whether
it's true, false or somewhere in between, doesn't matter. It can be
changed, but not overnight.

I have gone to the mountaintop and have brought down these 2
Commandments which had your name on them:

1) Stick to Vegas topics, no matter what.

2) Ignore name-calling and personal attacks, no matter what.

These Commandments are very simple and very effective, yet require
commitment and self-discipline over a period of time. But I guarantee
you will see positive results eventually.
