Re: Nickle and Dime!

Damb, "CyßerHoG®" <cyberhog@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, do I have to
'splain EVERYTHING to your dumn ass????

Holy Moly!

I didn't expect this from a supposedly high class joint like Red Rock
Casino. But what's with this "Resort Amenity Fee" that they tack on to your
daily room rate?

19.99 PER DAY to turn down your bed, fetch your paper, have access to the
health club, concierge service and transport to and from the airport (which
I won't do on a daily basis---thank you) etc, etc, etc? All of which I don't
require from the hotel during my stay in Las Vegas.

What a nickle/dime operation this is!

A couple of the wives suggested that we stay there as our base during the
Soiree. I sort of balked because of its location, but this goofy fee pretty
much seals the deal just on principle.

Apparently this is becoming more of a trend in LV. I am looking into
bookings for our August family trip, and the Orleans website has the
following in the small print:

-- snip --

Rates not inclusive of Resort Fee ($5 per room, per day). Includes the
following:

* Local and 800 calls
* Coffee in the guest rooms
* 10 minutes of high speed internet access in the business center
* Access to the fitness center

-- end snip --

While I guess I can use the 10 minutes of high speed internet access
to check us in for our return flight, it does seem kind of seedy to
charge extra and put it in the small print like this.
