Am I misunderstanding something about the Plaza website? It lists
Great Moments Cafe as a Plaza restaurant. I know the two casinos are

You're missing nothing. The Plaza has no coffee shop, so it promotes
the LVC's. The LVC has no buffet, so it promotes the Plaza's.
Walt, I think the reason Lombardi's is in the space next to the Center
Stage is because early in the Barrick/Tamares ownership, that space
was split off from the Center Stage to be "celebrity" Larry Manetti's
Italian restaurant. It shared backroom with the Center Stage and
occupied some of its floor space.
So, in typical low-rent fashion, I believe Lombardi's is just a way to
reclaim that space that was split off (and has an Italian theme) and
the kitchen that is going unused with the "Sports Dome" taking over
the Center Stage space.

When I peeked into the Sports Dome last November, it looked exactly
like the photo on the Plaza website -- totally devoid of customers. I
guess folks prefer free drinks down in the populated casino to paying
for drinks and sitting by themselves upstairs where it's as quiet as a
library. Hey, that might be Tamares' next marketing angle -- "Come
downtown and read a book."
