I think you make pretty good sense here, Max. If they hate what I write or
say, then how come they do not killfile me? They seem to respond rather
quickly.

Sort of like every year, everyone votes the Circus/Circus Buffet as the
worst buffet in Las Vegas. If that is true, then why do these people go
back and eat there every year?

They attack Trout and Peyton yet, Trout has never uttered a single vulgarity
that I have ever seen written. And to attack JP because he has a
disabilty--that is disgusting under any curcumstances. Cyberhog has
crossed that line many times. Ronson is a closet bigot and racist. Andrew
will ass kiss EE and later kiss ass to Chuck. And EE and Chuck are bitter
enenies. Andrew is the biggest fraud in this newsgroup. It amazes me how
people backstab here.

Do I fight wth most of the group here? Oh absolutley. But I never
backstab. And I have never refused to meet anyone at anytime. I have never
used an alias or created a sockpuppet. After numerous attempts to invade my
privacy, I even published a phone number.

Several published JP's address and phone number without any respect for his
privacy or decency.

Max, feel free to Google, but Google it all. Google the viciousness from
people like DH, SOTO, TOM RONSON, and a few others.

Again, most of the "me too's" have never even met me. I fully admit to be
one real temperamental SOB. But a liar and dishonest-no way. In fact the
biggest criticism I get from my friends is that I am much too generous and
much too nice.

I was at a nice bar tonight in Agoura Hills (CA) and picked up the tab. Why
not? I make good money and my friends are worth it! I did not do it to
impress anyone. I did it to say 'thank you' By the way, my friends go back
to Junior High school so I must be doing something right.

Anyway, enjoy the newsgroup for what it is--mostly entertainment. As I have

Welcome to the newsgroup.

I react only posts which attack me. That is what I do. But anyone who
posts good information (and doesn't STEAL it or credits their sources)
is always commended by me.

This basically started with the Pondsum incident and Andrew (Elmer)
decided to play judge, jury and punished without ever gathering any
facts. HE NEVER discussed it with me. Or my sister who's privacy was
attacked. Actually, it not me who has the beef. But my brothers (and my
two brother in laws) will fuckin kill him if they ever see him. He may
as well take out a peace bond against the whole family. By the way,
"little Mikey" is a very successful attorney in NC, so we got our asses
covered too.)

But Elmer usually just parks his fat ass at MSS and talks to the pig
statue, pees on the wall or eats Sushi, so WTF. Beats having to work at
building his law practice. I don't know about you Max, but I worked my
ass off building my company and getting my education for the first 20
years. I didn't have time for all this.

Berman was an honored friend once, but unless he is worshipped, he has
little use for you. But Berman is busy these days and oddly enough we
work in the same circles on occasion. We really have no problem with
Berman as both he and his wife are pretty much busy with other issues
right now Actually Berman is the guy you give the work to at SCA and he
is too dumb to realize that nobody gives a ***.

Ronson doesn't even know me, but threatened me with junk mail a few
years ago. He was another who attempted to "find me" and publish my
home address, work address, etc. I believe Ronson and CTFF have worked
very hard behind the scenes to "punish' me. They even tried to find my
GF at Disney.

Would YOU put up with this crap?

Finally CTFF. That is one sick ***. Unlike me, I have never run away
or refused to meet with my enemies. And I have never brought harm to
anyone who would not harm me first. In truth, Berman took a private
conversation and make it public. HE actually violated several private
and public laws, I am told. As far as his complaint, David has repeated
refused to publish the complaint #. I even went as far to see the Chief
to find that "complaint". Where's the BEEF, Berman?

I agree that you should not take sides, but don't be a 'me too' either.

I am not much of a 'me too' type BM. I do and will judge situations
based on what I observe, although I am receptive to other sources of
info. In this case, I don't really know any of the parties, including
you. So my normal posture is to give all sides some latitude and
tolerance so they can work out their own squabbles. I don't need to
"fit in" with anyone or their group (I've got enough "friends" to buy
Christmas, Birthday and Anniversary presents for as it is) so I can stay
neutral... unless and until someone takes shots at me. Pertaining to
ng's, if that happens I will just KF and ignore that shooter. If I
don't see their posts, they don't exist so what they say means nothing
to me. (RL requires a different tack as I'm sure you'd agree.)
Unfortunately for you, that appears to be the tack that many in here
have taken toward you.

I don't know all the "particulars" about why you are the "shun" du jour.
So I can only say this about that... I hope some of what I've read from
the other people about you is really either misunderstanding or their
personal dislike of you for which they are embellishing with falsehoods.
If that's the case, time will make that apparent.
If the claims/accusations are true, well I guess I hope you would be of
a mind to make amends... which I do hear you saying you have tried to
offer "olive branches." If you do that and the "shun" party just flatly
refuses without further provocation by you, well, to me they are no
better. That of course assumes (dangerous idea) you haven't gone that
road with them before and violated their trust again, such that they now
have no tolerance for you... which is what some responses to my post
about this seem to be indicating is the case. Mind you, I'm not saying
that's the case, just what I'm observing might be the case.
If you aren't trying to change anything and are "guilty" (by fact, not
by any judgment of mine) of the deeds you are now "shun" material for...
well I guess that will become apparent, and I'd feel sorry (in a way)
for you.
And apply the KF as needed ... ;-)

I do know that as a very long time ng'er (not necessarily in this
group), I've seen these tiffs go on without resolution until they wither
with time and I've also seen them be resolved by fact or simply because
they lose steam on their own over time. Hopefully, this will be a case
of the latter and those that "shun" you now, will, in time, talk as if
it never happened in the future.

Then again, what's wrong with a little ng entertainment... someone's
gotta have the juice and someone's gotta be that pawn. :-)


I'm curious as to why you find a killfile to be a useful tool, yet you
find our shun (which is essentially a group killfile observed by 98% of

What I observed and thought I was seeing that I did/do find "distasteful
was more than one harsh attack on another poster. I've seen that stuff
many times in many different ng's over the years.

The KF is appropriate way to deal with those posters one doesn't want to
read or post in response to. In that vein, the group "shun" seems OK to
me... although just each person individually KF'ing and ignoring a poster
is the normal route. It seems a little creepy to have this groupthink
"shun" stuff in a ng... but then again I don't know all the facts or
parties. If there is a LOT of background and history to how that came
about then I can see the regulars in a ng deciding to agree as a group to
ignore a poster, and that would be the "shun" I guess. The same thing as
individuals ignoring, but agreed on in advance. Again, a little creepy,
but I can see how that would be the effective route to take.

However, my initial reply post was responsive to an originating attack
post (against/regarding BM), which isn't ignoring (killfile). So,
hopefully you can understand how, not knowing about this group ignore
thing going on, I posted as I did. I still don't see how attack posts fit
a group ignore ("shun"), but I don't really need to as this doesn't really
affect me.

I don't intend to upset the harmony in this ng, so I will continue to just
observe and make my own determination of what's going on. I was just
speaking my mind on what I was observing, but did not mean to take any
side or cause further conflict in this group.

But, no, the group ignore ("shun") is perfectly appropriate and those that
don't want to read or reply to BM, or anyone else, don't have to. I know
I don't/wouldn't if I don't want to, for whatever reason I may have. But
I don't hardly ever attack other posters either... no matter what kind of
disgusting vitriol they may spew. At a certain point they just no longer
exist for me... ;-)
