Opinions welcome

Since you are going in December, pools seem to be out of the
option.... unless, of course, you are a sadist.

That being said, in comparing the two properties, Mandalay Bay has
bigger rooms, is newer, has a 'trendier' crowd, is at the south end of
the Strip and is a little bigger than Mirage.

The Mirage has smaller rooms, is older, has a more 'touristy' crowd,
is right in the middle of all the action on the Strip and is a little
smaller than Mandalay Bay.

The restaurants are on par with each other, however, where Mirage
would get my vote is the service. The service at Mandalay Bay had
always been snotty and rude. I really do not care for the staff as it
seemed to be comprised of rude ex-east coasters with an attitude. My
brother has also said the same thing about the place.

That, and the fact that Mirage is right close to everything you could
ask for on the Strip, is why I would choose the Mirage.

Hope this helps. Have a great trip.
