Re: Very Very Very long trip report !

I've read a LOT of trip reports over the last 18 or so years. Admittedly I
scan some parts... but I do read most, especially when it was written by
someone I know.

Some reports amuse, some bore... John's report made me want to go do things.
If it were 6 or 8 weeks from now that I was reading it, I'd probably get in
the car and head for the Strip... and go for a long walk there.

FWIW, I looked at the list you presented to Walt and immediately picked out
the rafting trip. It's something I've wanted to do it other places too, just
never got around to it.

I always meant to write to Walt, because his TR's come closer to being
descriptions of my past trips to Vegas in the years '88- '98 than
anyone else's. The difference is that I only went to Vegas for the $18
-$25 rooms at the Stardust or Trop and the free or almost free shows
and the $2 Binion's late night steak etc. As those days came to an
end, Vegas lost its draw for me.

Let me ask Walt a question. If someone picked up the tab, which of the
Britisher's indulgences would you choose to do yourself? You can only
have one.

1. Jetski on Lake Mead
2. Skydive
3. Shoot the rapids
4. Session with escort
5. stay in large suite with Jacuzzi etc. (3 days, alone)
6. gamble with $500 bankroll.
7. 5 dinners (alone) at Eiffel Tower Restaurant, Mon Ami Gabi etc.
