As far as WMD's go, I saw a show a while back where a former officer
in the Iraq army said that when the had to make things "go away", they
would load up 5 or 6 semi trucks & drive way out in the desert. There
would be some big holes already dug that they would drive the trucks
into. Then some bulldozers would bury the trucks. Finally, the truck
drivers & bulldozer operators would be executed.

There were no post Gulf War 1 WMD. We spent $billions not just looking
for weapons, but looking for any sign the existed at any stage of
development.

So we looked where the might have been designed, where the precursor
parts might have been built, where the parts might have been
assembled, where the weapons would have been stored, where people
would have trained with them. None of these things existed.

We looked for how the parts or assembled weapons might have been
transported. We found nothing.

We looked for anyone who might have designed the weapons, worked on
the precursor parts, transported the pieces, assembled the weapons,
transported the weapons, stored the weapons, trained with the weapons.
We found nobody.

We looked for people who might have even know about any of the above
events. We found nobody. We looked for people - and offered huge
bribes - how had information about family members, enemies,
acquaintances, neighbors, about anybody who had any knowledge
whatsoever about the weapons at any stage of their development. We
couldn't find a single person who had any credible knowledge.

They simply were not there. If they guy you saw on the show had any
actual knowledge, he would have turned it over, gotten very very rich,
and we would have his evidence. It didn't happen.

We can argue till the cows come home whether or not going to war in
Iraq has caused more harm than good. But the issue of WMD is settled.
Post Gulf War I weapons simply didn't exist.
