We flew First Class award tickets in late June on the non stop evening
flight and return early July. It was a Tuesday night and plane was
packed.
The wait for luggage in LV was awful. 45 minutes from when we reached
baggage. The delta flight arrived in LV (means it left after) the Jet
Blue flight which had about an 1/2 hour later departure time (JetBlue
almost always leaves the gate a few minutes early too). When we landed
we couldn't get to the gate because there was a plane in it. How could
there be a plane in it unless it was leaving late since we were
arriving 15 minutes or so late. That was at least an 1/2 hour wait
We switch to a day time flight coming home and had to change in JFK.
We landed a few minutes late and had to wait for a gate. Then our
connection was delayed waiting for flight crew flying in from San
Francisco and that plane was late. Due to it being late we got caught
in the evening boondoggle of every plane trying to leave at once.
I hope they cancel all their flights. What a piece of Shit airline
they are.
I love JetBlue. They know how to load the plane and get everyone in
their seat. The attendants will even take you carryon and store it
above your seat while you get seated.
I don't get to fly SW but would try them.
Don...I know what you mean, but I haven't had it that bad on delta. Guess I
have been lucky. First of all, I avoid ALL airport around NYC. Never fly in
or out of any of the three for any reason.
Only 2 times, have I arrived someplace and found our gate occupied. Both
times at CVG. I book delta flights with changes usually at CVG, but now
deltas has made changes. Want the cheapest flight? You will have to accept a
change at JFK or ATL with at least a 2 1/2 hour layover. Want a short one
hour layover in CVG??? That will be an extra $100 bucks. Want a nonstop from
BOS with a 1 hour plane change in SLC and then on to LAS?? That will cost in
the $500 range.
Lots of bad changes at Delta, so that is why I'm looking at SW and maybe
Jetblue for future vegas trips.
