How many people here think that Neonopolis, er, I mean, Fremont
Square, is the biggest joke of they've ever seen in Las Vegas? I
remember how incredibly lame I thought it was the first time I went
there. Very unimpressive. What a waste of $100 million.
They had a Dairy Queen in it when it first opened. I went in to buy a
Buster Bar. The girl at the counter didn't know what that was. I
knew then that Neonopolis was doomed.
Seriously, I can't believe this thing was built. I don't know if it's
possible, but maybe they could have moved the Gold Spike ,Western, or
the El Cortez to that spot? Yeah, I know, I'm grasping at straws, but
I'd rather have another casino there then some wanna-be shopping mall
complex.
What are some thoughts you have as to what should have been built
istead?
