I have a theory about 50 & 100 Play Video Poker. My theory is the
only way you can win is if you are dealt a 4oak, straight flush, or
royal flush on the deal. The only times I can think of where I walked
away with some money on these machines had been when I've been dealt a
4oak. It's been a couple of years since I've played them, but I can
vividly recall why I don't.
I think Hoover makes those machines, because they suck your money up.
Many times on my trips to Las Vegas, I would wonder why I took a
shower that morning, because I took a bath in the casino playing those
machines. To play a 5 cent game it costs $12.50 a play on 50 play,
$25.00 for 100 play. OUCH!
Is anyone out there an expert on playing these machines & have another
theory or strategy? It would be interesting hearing another
perspective.

The mathmatical odds of winning on a 50 or 100 hand VP machine are the
same as single hand. However, the pay tables are usually pretty bad.
First time I saw a 100 had machine was in Pahrump on my way to Death
Valley from Las Vegas. On my first hand, I was dealt a 4oak, got a
hand pay and took my money and ran. For some reason, I always win
enough to pay for dinner at Terrible's in Pahrump.
