On day two at this hotel, a little girl had to be taken away by
ambulance after a woman threw a martini glass at another in the lobby
and glass splinters hit the girl in the eye. I had heard nice things
about this place, but it was overrun by thugs, gang-types, and the
"pinky-ring" crowd. Definitely not family friendly. And, I would walk
on the sidewalk out front, let alone into the hotel, without a buller
proof vest. The staff professionalism and courtesy mirrored the
quality guests. Yikes! Two nights here then we ran to the Paris -
which seems to do a booming business on escapees from Aladdin.
Poolside stories are enthralling.

Of course, there is as much merit to this review at to the claim of
"gangbangers and other assorted freak shows and low-lifes" roaming the
halls at Circus Circus in another thread. You might encounter people
like that anywhere in the city as in most cities, but the risk of that
happening or of you having some real trouble at the Aladdin (or Cicus
Circus) are exceedingly small.
