Your Hot Wheels Collection doesn't count!

Yeah, I think I'm up to Ferarri # 400... or is it 401? I can never
tell.
I can assure you there is a HUGE difference
between a C-3 (68-82) and the current C-6.
Engine vs. Motor?
Yeah, well even the local newspapers get something right once in
awhile.
Damn Liberals.
I hadn't given much thought to the changes in
today's autos and particularly the engines, but from what the article
said, today's engine is so incredibly much more advanced in power,
reliability and fuel economy that there is little to even compare with
the "older" engines.
Todays internal combustion vehicles are incredible pieces of
engineering, reliable to the point of being an appliance instead of a
piece of machinery,
You're comparing an engine to an appliance? Hell, my washing machine
broke down 2 months into getting it brand new. My BMW's engine runs
like a champ.
Thanks for the laugh!
safe to the point of being a cocoon, and
economical to the point of making all other forms of transportation a
relative joke.
Even more of a joke than the airplane? Let's see you drive your
Maxipad to Hawaii.
I have to admit, however, that I wonder if we'll see more improvements
in the next 25 years as we've seen in the last 25 years.
You will, but not to the extent we've seen over the past 25.
Gee, thanks swami. Who's gonna win the Super Bowl for the next 25
years?
Think
about it. In the last 25 years, we've seen vehicles capable of
carrying a family of 4 or 5 go from a station wagon that got 10MPG to
a minivan that gets 25+.
You drive a station wagon? Color me impressed.
Said station wagon was a deathtrap in a
crash. Minivan has front, side and curtain airbags, 4 wheel antilock
disk brakes, seatbelt pretensioners, and allows people to walk away
from a crash that would have killed them in the wagon.
You can thank a Liberal for all of the progress of the automobile.
the wagon
required extensive service and replacement parts every 3000 miles.
the van can go its entire life on a set of sparkplugs and possibly
brake pads.
Yeah, forget oil changes, radiator flushes, belt changes... small
details like that.
The wagon needed tires every 25k miles.
That's because the wagon needed to carry your fat ass!
The van gets
60-70k from a set.
You drive a mini van too? LOL!
I've seen some of the vehicles coming in the next 10-12 years,
Gee, that crystal ball is something, PORK CHOP. You can see cars that
even the MANUFACTURES cannot even see!
and trust me on this one..... gas hybrids ain't them.
Oooh! Ooooh! Lemme guess, they have 4 tires too!
PORK CHOP, we don't trust you nor anything you say. You're a proven
LIAR over and over again. Anything you've seen or heard can be seen
and read about online. Trust me.
Plug in electrics
ain't them and Hydrogen ain't them. They're all impossibly expensive
attempts to placate a fickle buying public that will jump on ANY
bandwagon the liberal press points them in the direction of.
Yeah, that's why Tesla is spending hundreds of millions on a new
factory out here. That's why Toyota and Honda are pouring BILLIONS
into hybrid research. And on and on. Thanks to conservative
jackasses like you, our American cars are going to be extinct.
case in
point.... the Toyota Prius.
Ah, the Prius. The most reliable car on the market. The one with one
of the highest resale values. The same Toyota which overtook Chrysler
as the world's 3rd biggest auto maker. And in a few years Toyota will
be larger than Ford. Yeah, let's not invest in hybrids like the
Prius, let's invest in gas guzzling cars.
Gosh, if you weren't so stupid it just wouldn't be so funny.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
It cost $3000-4000 more than a
comparably sized gas engine vehicle,
Forgot about that tax credit, eh PORK CHOP?
gets ALMOST the same mileage
Not even close! My Bmer gets about 21-25 mpg. The Toyota gets around
60 (according to the EPA).
(although there are a number of better choices available in both gas
and diesel),
Like?
cost a fortune to service,
HA! Ever service a BMW? I thought not.
has a battery pack that NO
ONE knows what to do with when it wears out
They don't wear out. If they do, just take it to the dealer.
(let alone deal with the
HUGE cost involved in swapping it out),
What would that cost be, PORK CHOP?
yet people are willing to pay
the huge premium to buy one in order to APPEAR ecologically advanced.
No huge premium at all. And they ARE better cars, both ecologically
and in reliability.
Of course, we could always wind up driving electric powered
cars......
Wouldn't that be nice? Hey, remember when everyone though that
GASOLINE powered cars were gonna be a flop?
and eating at Taco Bell, since ALL restaurants will be
Taco Bell in the future.
Only in your wet dreams.
Chuck the CHICKEN
Geesh, CHICKEN. Lay off the Taco Bell and hit the gym once in a
while. Your DIABETES is really out of control.
