Re: WHY...

Thank God for simple truths. I'm glad that this was posted, even
though the incredibly complacent & liberal have already completely
missed its true meaning and chant "No war for oil" like the
well-trained drones that the media wants them to be.

Fact: If you don't fight for your freedom, others (such as terrorists
or newbie nuclear powers) will take it away from you. This has been
the way of things for as long has humans have lived! Fight or be
conquered, or killed.

Fact: Strength is a deterrent! Willingness to negotiate, capitulate
and retreat are all signs of weakness. And weakness invites nothing
but more aggression.

Fact: If you don't fight the enemy on THEIR soil, you'll wind up
fighting them on YOUR soil. I'd rather see them fought on the other
side of the world...unless you don't mind seeing your own city turned
into a war zone.

It's amazing how quickly people forget. Remember those planes that
slammed into the WTC and the Pentagon? Remember why we went to war?
To DEFEND THE UNITED STATES! To keep YOU safe from those who would
kill you if they had the chance.

Opponents of our President would have you believe that it's a greedy
war for oil to further their own political agendas. For those who
don't pay attention, we have a few enemies out there who have declared
war upon our way of life. Enemies who'll kill themselves for the
chance of taking out vast numbers of Americans. Call me crazy but I'd
rather see them dead instead of us.

We have two clear choices. The first choice is to kick their asses
overseas while maintaining constant vigilence for signs of domestic
attack. The second choice is to pretend that everyone loves the USA,
blind and deafen ourselves to any threats, and live in a fantasy world
until we get our noses bloodied again. Perhaps the tree-huggers need
another 3,000 Americans to die again as a reminder?

Another mother asked President F.D. Roosevelt,

"Why did my son have to die at Iwo Jima?"

Another mother asked President W. Wilson,

"Why did my son have to die on the battlefield of France?"

Yet another mother asked President Lincoln,

"Why did my son have to die at Gettysburg?"

And yet another mother asked President G. Washington,

"Why did my son have to die near Valley Forge?"

Then long, long ago, a mother asked...
"Heavenly Father, why did my Son have to die
on a cross outside of Jerusalem?"

The answers to all these are similar --

"So that others may have life and dwell in peace,
happiness and freedom."

This was emailed to me with no author
and I thought the magnitude
and the simplicity were awesome .
