That's a thought, Margaret, but turning our living room into a theater
wouldn't get past my wife. Thanks anyway.

It seems to me that there really aren't a heck of a lot of incorrigable
gamblers on the NG other than myself, Mr. V., DocDice and a few others.
But I was wondering how many of you guys keep a little stash of cash
socked away for gambling purposes? I know I have my secret place,
which, thanks to good luck last year, has overgrown and required a
separate stash for my next passion, a 60" HD TV.

I have an envelope of money stashed away labeled "investment money" that
I use for gambling. When I have a "big" win (last year it was $1500) I
usually "reinvest" some for future play and do something fun with a
percentage. Small wins are always reinvested. :-)
Have you considered a projector vs. the 60" HD TV? When we moved into
our new home in January we were thinking of going the big screen route
but ended up with a Panasonic PT-AE900U HD projector. I was doubtful at
first but quickly became a convert. The projector sits on one side of
our living room and projects on the wall about 19 feet away. During
daytime watching there is some wash out of the picture but it doesn't
seem to be any worse than the glare we would get off the old set. It
has impressive color and I have yet to notice any pixilation. It has an
excellent picture quality at the 120" diagonal size. I think it
handily beats many of the big screen TVs we've seen for picture quality.
And you would have more money left over to play craps with! ;-)
