Even if gas went to $4, that would add about only $25 to an automobile
round-trip from SoCal. And probably $20-$30 to an airline ticket.
If room vacancies went up, the room prices would be cut by at least
that much.
I think few people would cancel a trip to Las Vegas because feul prices
have gone up.
They might cancel a trip to Grandma's house, but I doubt they would
cancel a trip to Vegas. The reason they come here is because they have
money to burn (at least they should), and they can esaily make up for
the fuel costs with a good coupon book ... or simply not tipping the
desk person and settling for a room with a parking lot view.
