You don't make sense. Yes, each spin is an independent event. But
wouldn't you prefer to have THREE independent events than just one?

Not under this three coins only scenario. I don't see the odds
of my getting a smaller payout increasing enough to not warrant
going for the Big Enchilada.

It really matters how much the bonus IS for the third coin. On many
traditional reel machines it really isn't that much, like $1000, $2000,
$5000 for the best jackpot only on 1,2,3 coins, and every other pay is a
straight mulitplier.

A game with a bonus round or extra spins, etc. that are only available with
max coins, you really must play full coins on those, and something with a
progressive jackpot you have to play max coins as well.

Since what happened the last time has
no impact on what is happening the next one, I don't see enough of
an marginal added payout possibility from the extra two coins to
warrant not going for the big payout. All or nothing in THIS
instance.

You triple your chance of hitting something with three spins instead of one.
Just because they're independent and random doesn't mean spinning more times
doesn't help.

Equity-wise if it's a straight multiplier machine, 3 coins/1 spin and 1
coin/3 spins are the same, but the 'fun' of hitting something will happen 3
times more often with 3 spins.
