I can pay my employees based on where they're from? This feels like a
very capricious way to do business. I suppose I can also charge
(comparably) rich Europeans like you more than the poor guy from
Mississippi because that's what you're willing to pay in Europe? Under
your rules I could also pay women less (because woman make less).
It doesn't matter who your employees and customers are, or where
they're from or what sex they are. If your goal is to create a
successful business, you pay employees as little as they're willing to
accept, and you charge customers as much as they're willing to pay (all
within the stringent limits imposed by your competitors). If you
balance the equation correctly, you make enough money to expand your
business and hire additional willing workers. If you screw it up, your
business fails and your workers are left with no jobs at all.
I notice that you make no mention of obeying the law.
With you, it is the "end justifies the means".
Rubbish. I'm one of the most law-abiding people I know. But I also
know that individual laws are passed for many different reasons, not
all of them honorable. Laws are created by politicians. Do you
believe politicians will always look out for our best interests?
With you, it's OK to knowingly hire illegals and maybe, pay them under
the table. That way, you save on taxes.
The Las Vegas construction industry is notorious for hiring illegals
at a low wage. Sometimes the construction company even cheat the
workers on what they said they would pay them.
I think we can all agree that cheating _any_ workers out of their due
wages is bad and should be punished.
Now what about employers who hire illegals for sub-minimum wages and
pay them in full at the agreed-upon rate. If you view this as a
problem, how would you fix it?

It isn't just the wages.
If the employer is paying under the table he isn't paying the taxes
for the employee. The employer is probably not contributing to
workman's compensation or state disability insurance if applicable for
the employee.
In the Hurrican Katrina aftermath, unscrupulous contractors were
hiring illegals to remove mold infected walls from building. The
contractors were not even buying the protective clothing and masks to
protect the workers from the deadly mold.
