Such a simple subject. First, a tip is not mandatory. In my service job, I
do the best job I can regardless of the anticipation of a tip. Luckily,
most people like the way I serve them. Also, there are some that because of
true ignorance, philosophy, or economics (though I never understood the
concept of NOT having enough to tip.. but having enough to enjoy the
service) do not tip.
Great service --- whatever I feel... most like about 20-30 percent.....
sometimes more if the service was extremely good and the bill was small.
Adequate service-- about 15%
Bad service / Attitude $0.00 and I ask the server to have their manager come
over to the table. If the server hears the ensuing conversation, so be it.
