Hmmmmm......in the years that I attended CES (intermittent visits between
1975 and 1990), I don't remember the vendors being allowed to sell direct.
About the only items I can remember being sold were very small items like
American Gramaphone albums (most notably, Mannheim Steamroller) and they
were sold off the main convention floor in a separate room. Sounds like I
either missed out on some great opportunities or afterwards, the policies
changed.
