Get you a Dell. You can look on their website and price them. Also do a
google search for Dell coupon codes. I recently found one that gave me
30 pecent off the total price. Make sure you get one that has the
wireless card built in. The new laptops have the antennae built into
the top, and they work much better than the older ones that use the
plug in wireless card. Make sure you get a pentium processor and not
one that has the watered down celeron processor. Most of them come with
a cd burner and dvd player.

The wireless card will automatically connect to any available networks,
so if you take it traveling, you can get online free at many places.

Just dont go buy one at walmart. The ones they are selling are very
very cheap. You will be much happier in the long run to buy a quality
built one with all the add ons you can afford.

I'm also a Dell fan. I have Dell Desktop and Dell 6000 Laptop as well as
another Dell Desktop at Ice Cream Store. My son who lives with us has a
Dell Desktop and a Tosiba Laptop (which he really likes). All the in house
computers use the wireless network, while the one a the store is hard
wired.

Other son has Dell desktop and company provided Dell Laptop (nit sure of
model). Third son is the one that buys brand X equipment and has had lots
of trouble with his desktops and Laps.

Nothing greater than taking a bathroom trip along with the laptop (and
something to rest it on). You can surf and well you know at the same time.

This past weekend Dell had a Laptop for $399 after rebates. The only
negative is it was a Celeron. I've seen them have laptops between 500 and
600 with pentium. Also Dell outlet can have some excellent price too if
you want a new refurbished one. I bought one once and returned it.
