I, too have a son who is an architect. As a student he was snob,
describing Las Vegas architecture as Disney. He has come to
appreciated it more and has worked on recent additions to the Venetian.
I think there is a lot of good stuff in Las Vegas. The Rio, Caesars
Palace, Wynn, The Luxor, MGM Grand, the Bellagio among others are all
pretty appealing.
Disney or not, I love walking in and around most hotels on the strip.
