I have, however, asked our English institute and they agree with me
about the word "speciality" and thesis, but I have of course not
asked everybody there - so in September I shall ask one of our
native speakers and teachers about it and then write about the
subject again, if it is ok with you?

The least

(do you mean "the last thing"?)

I want to be is to be seen as a stubborn person about your language
- I must, however, lean on to what references I do have.

It is because you lean on (not "lean on to", by the way) those
references that you, in fact, ARE seen as incredibly stubborn

I did not question the word "thesis" or "speciality". You seem to
do so, so in order to become wiser, I should very much like to get
an explaination of why two reputable dictionaries seem to have got
it all wrong.

Several people have explained that to you, but because you insist on
the superiority of your "reputable references", you're incapable of
absorbing those explanations . . .

It's quite clear that you post here not "in order to become wiser",
but rather to satisfy your appetite for conflict and your urge to
practice your bad English.

To repeat, because it's worth repeating:

Trying to explain something to Arne or to reason with that *thick*,
stubborn, pigheaded Danish dickhead is like playing viola da gamba to a
water buffalo.
