In this sentence, which one is the better:

I'm not a native English speaker. According to grammar books taught to
English learners, in standard American English, the verb "have"
functioning as a lexical verb, takes a form of the auxiliary "do" in
short responses. So, the first sentence, temporarily forgeting the
unnecessary subject-verb inversion, would be a better option. I don't
know how acceptable this might sound to real native American English
speakers, but as far as English grammar for learners of English goes,
this is what it is.
However, again according to what we non-native English speakers, or
rather consumers, have learned from such grammar books, in standard
British English, the verb "have, no matter whether it is a lexical or
an auxiliary verb, no auxiliary "do" is needed in short responses.
Therefore, the second sentence might be a better option to
conservative British speakers.
