They've inserted the the thin end of that wedge over here now: they've
started getting some female to sing God Save the Queen as a solo before
certain footie matches. An exotic and irrational habit, especially in a
country where the crowd know enough of the words and can manage all of
the tune. If I catch anybody putting his mitt over his heart, I swear
I'll hit him with a cricket bat.
