Same here. The original poster should note incidentally that here
in Leftpondia, where the zip fastener was invented, it's a "zipper",
not a "zip".

Yes, definitely a pondian distinction. Did I dream this, or is the word an
example of inadequate (or non-existent) protection of a trade mark?
