While Joe didn't mention it, a tax deduction benefit is all wrong
for this type of program. While it allows the taxpayer to retain
more income, it relies on the taxpayer to use that extra retained
income to buy health insurance. The people in the most fragile
economic conditions are going to use that retained income for other
purposes and go without health insurance. That defeats the concept
of providing health insurance to more Americans.
Actually, he did say
That's how he raises $3.6 trillion, on your -- taxing your health
care benefit to give you a $5,000 plan, which his Web site points
out will go straight to the insurance company.
which makes it sound as though it's a credit that can only be used for
health insurance.
Ah ha! I have been waiting for one of you boys to be truthful,
well sorta truthful considering you boys do not have a clue
about this issue.
A little research will lead you to knowledge Joe Biden lied
through his teeth to America.
McCain:
While still having the option of employer-based coverage,
every family will receive a direct refundable tax credit
- effectively cash - of $2,500 for individuals and $5,000
for families to offset the cost of insurance. Families will
be able to choose the insurance provider that suits them best
and the money would be sent directly to the insurance provider.
Those obtaining innovative insurance that costs less than the
credit can deposit the remainder in expanded Health Savings Accounts.
McCain is offering to help pay for health insurance and is
holding people accountable; this money will not be directly
spent by the public for "things" other than health care.
McCain is giving money to taxpayers but with a condition,
"You can only spend this money on health care or save excess
money for future health care needs."
This is a responsible and accountable method; no waste.
You boys can find truth here,
http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/Issues/19ba2f1c-c03f-4ac2-8cd5-5cf2edb527cf.htm
Obama would socialize health care and tax _everyone_ to pay
for this health care. Obama would have our health care system
in the hands of the Federal government leading to a massive
and very expensive federal bureaucracy would which easily
add hundreds of billions of dollars to health care costs.
No savings, no lowering prices, simply all Americans pay
the feds for health care.
Do you want to deal with a federal bureaucracy when a
time comes you have a dire need for medical attention?
Do want to deal with a civil servant, deal with a typical
"Department Of Motor Vehicles" type person when you are
sick and in need?
"Fill out these forms in quadruplicate, mail those forms
to us, wait four weeks. In four weeks we will inform you
of an error in your application and have you start this
process all over again. If you die in the meantime, this
will invalid your health coverage."
I understand over in Britain, socialized medicine requires
people to literally stand in line for days to receive attention
for their medical needs.
Americans need to learn of truth and learn to deal with
reality rather than sucker for lies told by politicians,
especially leftist socialist politicians.
