SDC Q22: What about Phyllis?
The scientific name refers to a place where it isn't native, as does
the most common American name, which also ascribes it to a different
family (but is used in Britain to refer to a species of yet another
family, this time with more geographical, if not historic, accuracy).
Another common name refers to an obsolete genus name. However, the
British name, at least, is sensible. What is it?
