different meanings. You (mb) responded by saying "no problem with it
is correct" without saying which of the two meanings you meant.

Anyway, I think nearly all Mormons think of polygamy as something that
they've heard about in history classes, or as something practiced by
oddballs who only claim to be Mormons.

Are you (mb) able to provide proof that any legitimate present-day
Mormons are in favor of polygamy?

I see no reason that Mormonism should be any different from any
other religion in America. You can't claim that the United
baptist Church down the street isn't legitemately Baptist because
it doesn't belong to, say, the Southern Baptist Conference, even
if the Southern Baptists were to claim to be the only true
baptists. Nor do I see any reason to deny the Eastern Orthodox
churches the name "christian" simply because they do not follow
the declarations of the Pope.

Similarly, I see no reason to deny groups that refuse to go along
with the convenient revelation of a one-time Mormon president
that polygamy is no longer a Mormon tenet, the appellation of
Mormon. I presume the fundamentalist splinter groups still
believe in the mysterious tablets, the angel Moroni and all that.
