ing usage
Dear all,
Is there a clear answer to the following question?
In formal academic usage, should I avoid the 'ing' use in the following
context?
The term to define this concept
The term defining this concept
Actually please take my question in general. I am not sure if this example
is referring to what I intended to ask.
I jsut remember that one of my teachers told that we should avoid the ing
form where it is possible to use "to + infitive"
avoid: doing
use: to do
