Well yes, but the thing with homeopathy and the like isn't that it's contrary to common-sense, but that there is no mechanism, and no really strong evidence either.

Quantum mechanics and relativity both are completely counter intuitive, but hold as a theory, say something about the universe and can be tested, and hold up under testing.

Unless you posit a very effective big-pharma conspiracy, surely in the last 100+ years we'd have got clear evidence, not a few odd scattered papers, showing the effect.

While we're here, can you explain to me why the sea isn't a homeopathic remedy for everything?

It's not dilute enough.

Nobody has ever percussed it.
