teaching of English to non-natives, and I've come to think that natives
could get some instruction on how to avoid confusing them with our
sometimes quite complex constructions. The audience could be anyone
learning about inter-cultural relations.
You mean there are no trained and experienced teachers of English as a
foreign language on the project? If so, it's probably doomed.
